Starlink: Elon Musk’s Satellite Internet Service Company Prepares for Entry into India.

What Could Star Link Service and Its Race Mean for India?

The satellite internet service provider, Starlink, owned by Elon Musk, is gearing up to enter the Indian market. Previously, the company was restricted from offering services due to the lack of a license, but that is set to change.

Starlink boasts a top speed of 1.5 to 2 Gbps, eliminating the need for mobile towers and aiding in bringing internet to remote areas.

Currently operational in over 40 countries, Starlink offers a package that includes a Wi-Fi router, power supply, cable, and a mounting tripod.

Despite earlier restrictions, Elon Musk is now preparing to launch the service in India with approvals from all government departments. This move could pose a challenge for both Jio and Airtel, as they are also active in the satellite internet race. Airtel is launching a satellite service in partnership with OneWeb, while Jio has partnered with Luxembourg’s SES for satellite services.

This clearly indicates that the satellite internet race is heating up, offering more options for users. Starlink claims its speed will be exceptionally high, potentially providing users with a faster internet experience.
